This week I deal with how many people actually went down to Egypt, and what is the name of God.

This week I took time to talk about the Torah cycle and the paradox of free will. How is it that God took away the will of the king of Egypt, and what does it mean for us? Does the question of free will relate to Greek culture, and if it does, how?

In this weeks portion we have the important subject of the Biblical Calendar. This weeks' recording is from a class I gave on the subject of calendars based on this weeks reading from Exodus 12.

The Ten Commandments are the core of the covenant of Torah. This week I focused on the Shabbat as the main theme for our teaching.

A lengthy discussion on law and legal codes in the ANE and the Torah. I also went into length on slaves in the Torah and the Talion law.

This week we deal with the priestly garments and what could have been the historic style of clothing know to us from the ancient world.
